How many wines are sitting in restaurants today, gathering dust, just waiting to be opened? And how many wines, stocked for limited demand, are left forgotten in storage?
Our service was created to solve exactly these challenges.
Yutaro, who managed a Japanese restaurant in London, always kept red wine available for the occasional customer who loved to drink it. As he explored various restaurants, he noticed many offered cheaper wines due to budget constraints, leading to missed opportunities. This realization, shared with his long-time wine expert friend Andrea, inspired them to launch this service and tackle the issue head-on.
Meet The Team
Yutaro Ono
Originally from Fukui, Japan, Yutaro has lived in the UK since 2011, bringing his passion for art, rugby, and Arsenal to his new home.
He began his hospitality career at Benihana, learning the fundamentals in a fast-paced environment before moving into roles in marketing, customer relations, and management. In 2019, Yutaro acquired a restaurant, where he deepened his understanding of building genuine connections with both customers and suppliers, especially during challenging times.
Now, he’s looking forward to using these experiences to support restaurants through VinList, helping them grow and adapt in a competitive industry.
Andrea Gomirato
In 2013, Andrea made his way to London and has since spent over a decade managing some of the city’s most sought-after restaurants.
From Ting at the Shangri-La at The Shard to Dalla Terra wine bar, Claude’s Kitchen, and Vitis Vivendum, his influence has been felt across the capital’s dining scene.
With a knack for turning restaurants into destinations and a deep passion for curating exceptional wine lists, Andrea has become a key player in the world of fine dining in London, one bottle at a time.
